Iyengar Style Yoga: This style of yoga emphasizes precision and physical alignment of the body through the asanas or postures. It is accessible for any age or ability. You do not require any previous yoga experience. It has a particular focus on maintaining a healthy spine. The postures consist of stretching to provide a greater range of motion as well as strengthening our body to prevent injury. We utilize props to ensure safe implementation of the pose. Yogic philosophy is incorporated in this practice. **
Gentle Yoga: A perfect class for those new to yoga or anyone who prefers a slower and gentler pace. Basic postures are practiced. **
Yoga Basics: Yoga Basics is similar to gentle with a more in-depth and detailed focus on alignment. **
Group Meditation: In each session, you are lead through a variety of restorative postures and guided through mindfulness techniques. We use mantra, chanting, drumming, breath-work, singing bowls, guided meditations, shamanic journey and more. Even the most active minds will experience 100% success!*
*There is a class doing yoga in the studio up until 7:15 so please don’t arrive any earlier than 7:20 so that we do not disturb their class.
**Proper alignment for safety of the back and joints is addressed in each class. Classes entail a spiritual essence that compliment movement and postures. Bani completed a Teacher Training specifically for Back Care through Open Sky Yoga Center with Francois Raoult. She is able to give you stretching and strengthening options specifically to care for your back issue. She is also able to modify any yoga pose to make it accessible as well as beneficial in healing your back and helping you live pain free!
